Aptech & Middlesex University Award N701 Million in Tech Scholarships
More than 8,000 young Nigerians joined the 18th edition of Career Quest, an initiative hosted by Aptech Nigeria in partnership with Middlesex University London. By the end of the two-week program, over 200 aspiring technology and creative professionals earned scholarships worth more than N701 million to advance their education and digital careers.Held from August 7 to 21, the nationwide drive featured interactive physical workshops across seven major commercial hubs—Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Ibadan, and Abeokuta—complemented by two virtual sessions. The initiative provided participants with hands-on technical guidance, project showcases, career counseling, and direct pathways toward international higher education.
Unlocking Direct Pathways to UK Degrees via Credit Transfer
A central highlight of Career Quest was the Credit Transfer Facility (CTF) maintained between Aptech Nigeria and Middlesex University London. This academic bridge allows qualifying diploma graduates from Aptech to transfer their credits directly into final-year or advanced undergraduate degree programs in the United Kingdom.
Students enrolled in advanced diploma tracks—such as the Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering with AI (ADSE AI) or the Advanced Diploma in Multimedia & Animation (ADIM)—can transition into specialized UK degree tracks. These include BSc degrees in Computer Networks, IT & Business Information Systems, as well as BA honors programs in Animation and Games Design.
Reflecting on the strong turnout, Kallol Mukherjee, Executive Vice President of International Business at Aptech Limited, noted that the overwhelming interest underscores how eager Nigerian youth are to enter the global digital workforce.
“Over the past 26 years, Aptech has remained committed to empowering students with practical, industry-relevant skills that prepare them for global opportunities,” Mukherjee said. He added that collaborating with Middlesex University expands international horizons for local talent while supporting Nigeria’s growing technology ecosystem.
Operating through 72 learning centres across Nigeria, Aptech offers specialized training in artificial intelligence, software engineering, cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, UI/UX design, and 3D animation, alongside fast-track tech courses for teenagers.

While the participation of over 8,000 students highlights a massive appetite for technology training, it also points to a critical national need: converting broad interest into practical, job-ready skills. As global demand rises for specialized talent in AI, cloud systems, and software architecture, gaining recognized qualifications backed by hands-on experience is essential.
Programs like Career Quest address this challenge directly by combining technical skill-building, international degree mobility, and merit-based financial support—equipping young Nigerians with the tools needed to build sustainable careers at home and abroad.
