To solve this challenge, YouthDesk.ai has been created as an all-in-one digital ecosystem. Founded by Alabi Opeyemi, Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation to the Lagos State Government under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the platform brings fragmented youth-focused resources together into a single, user-friendly portal.
Bridging the Information Gap with AI Padi and the Opportunity Hub
At the heart of YouthDesk.ai is AI Padi, an intelligent virtual assistant built to guide users through career and educational pathways. Instead of scrolling through countless scattered websites, young Nigerians can interact with AI Padi to receive tailored recommendations based on their specific goals, skills, and background.
Complementing the virtual assistant is the platform’s Opportunity Hub, a real-time database aggregating verified options across multiple categories:
- Employment: Entry-level jobs, internships, and corporate fellowships.
- Education: Higher education scholarships and professional training programs.
- Entrepreneurship: Business grants, incubation cohorts, and seed funding.
According to Bode Olabisi, Director of Media and Publicity for YouthDesk.ai, the platform was specifically designed to eliminate the barriers faced by talented individuals who lack traditional corporate access.
Driving Grassroots Impact and Multi-Sector Collaboration
A key pillar of YouthDesk.ai is its focus on inclusion. Young people living in rural or underserved communities often miss out on life-changing programs simply because news arrives too late. By leveraging mobile-friendly AI technology, YouthDesk.ai ensures that location is no longer a barrier to personal advancement.
Speaking on the vision behind the project, founder Alabi Opeyemi emphasized that the platform extends far beyond a typical digital application:
“YouthDesk.ai goes beyond being just another digital application; it is conceived as an opportunity infrastructure and ecosystem that brings young people, opportunities, and institutions together on a single platform.”
Inspired by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to youth development and technology-driven governance at the Lagos State Government, the initiative acts as a bridge connecting grassroots talent with private corporations, NGOs, government ministries, and international development agencies.
Official Launch and Stakeholder Partnership Opportunities
As artificial intelligence reshapes how information is distributed worldwide, YouthDesk.ai represents a practical application of smart tech tailored specifically to solving real-world challenges for young Nigerians.
The platform will be officially unveiled during a live demonstration on September 3, 2026. The launch event will gather youth leaders, public sector representatives, business executives, non-profit directors, and development partners to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at expanding career
