GTCO Fashion Weekend 2026 Opens Free Retail Space Applications for Fashion Brands
Fashion businesses looking for a platform to put their products in front of new customers have another opportunity to explore as the GTCO Fashion Weekend 2026 prepares to return to Lagos.
The annual fashion event, organized by Guaranty Trust Holding Company, is scheduled for November 7 and 8, 2026, bringing together fashion entrepreneurs, designers, industry professionals and enthusiasts for two days of retail experiences, runway shows and masterclasses.
But for fashion brands and retailers, the most immediate opportunity is already open: applications for free retail spaces at the 2026 GTCO Fashion Weekend are currently underway.
According to the official GTCO Fashion Weekend platform, the retail-stall application is open to businesses interested in showcasing and selling their products during the event.
Free retail space for fashion businesses
The retail component has long been an important part of the GTCO Fashion Weekend’s focus on supporting fashion businesses.
Rather than positioning the event solely as a runway or entertainment experience, GTCO describes the Fashion Weekend as a consumer-focused fair and free business platform created to showcase African fashion while promoting enterprise within the continent’s fashion industry.
For participating businesses, that means the event can serve as an opportunity to introduce products to new customers, generate sales and gain exposure beyond their existing audience. And the scale of the platform has grown considerably since its launch.
GTCO says that between 2016 and 2025, the Fashion Weekend hosted more than 700,000 fashion enthusiasts, 410 small business owners and 69 fashion industry leaders from 13 countries. The event has also featured 45 runway shows, 39 masterclasses and 19 fashion presentations, alongside a curated craft and fabric market.
What to expect at GTCO Fashion Weekend 2026
The 2026 edition will continue the event’s combination of commerce, education and fashion showcase.
The program will feature runway shows highlighting Nigerian and global fashion design, while the retail experience will give attendees an opportunity to shop from African fashion businesses.
There will also be a series of online masterclasses facilitated by fashion industry experts, covering areas designed to help entrepreneurs understand how to build and sustain fashion brands in a changing industry.
For fashion professionals and enthusiasts, the event will also provide opportunities to engage with different aspects of the industry, including fashion business, styling and fashion journalism, which are among the areas that feature on the official Fashion Weekend platform.
Brands have until October 2 to apply
The window for businesses interested in securing a retail space is already open, but it is not indefinite. GTCO says applications for the free retail space close on Friday, October 2, 2026.

With the deadline approaching, the opportunity is particularly relevant for fashion brands looking to end the year with greater visibility, direct customer engagement and an opportunity to showcase their products to a broader fashion audience.
The GTCO Fashion Weekend will take place in November, but for brands hoping to be part of the retail experience, the first deadline arrives much sooner.
